Breath

To έργο “Breath” βασίζεται στο εικαστικό έργο “Death” του Νίκου Τσικούρα που εκτίθεται στην 8η Μπιενάλε των Φοιτητών των Σχολών Καλών Τεχνών Ελλάδος.
Το έργο αποτελείται από μικρές κάθετες γραμμές σε δυάδες, που έγιναν με μολύβι ξεκινώντας από την πάνω αριστερή γωνία και τελειώνοντας στην κάτω δεξιά, ακολουθώντας κάθετη πορεία. Άλλες είναι πιο έντονες κι άλλες πιο αχνές. Στο κέντρο του έργου υπάρχει ένας σταυρός μέσα στον οποίο η διάταξη των γραμμών είναι πολύ πιο συντονισμένη και σε όλο το έργο υπάρχουν σημεία όπου εμφανίζονται τυχαίες διαβαθμίσεις της έντασης του μολυβιού ή σημεία με «λάθη» που δημιουργούν μικρά κενά.

Οδηγίες:
Ξεκινάμε από οποιοδήποτε σημείο εκτός σταυρού. Όταν κάποιος από τους εκτελεστές φτάσει στο περιθώριο του σταυρού, παράγει μια μακριά υψηλή συχνότητα και τότε οι υπόλοιποι πάνε κατευθείαν στον σταυρό και όλοι ξεκινούν να εκτελούν τις “ομάδες μέσα στον σταυρό”. Οι εκτελεστές αποχωρούν απ’ τον σταυρό με ελεύθερη βούληση, και ξαναμπαίνουν, όταν κάποιος ξαναφτάσει σε περιθώριο.

"Breath" project is based on Nikos Tsikouras' work "Death" that is exibited at 8th Biennale...των Φοιτητών των Σχολών Καλών Τεχνών Ελλάδος.
"Death" is made of little vertical double-lines painted with a pencil, starting from the upper left corner and ending at the bottom right corner, following vertical course. Some of them are intense and others are pale. Just in the center of this work there is a cross within which the set-up of the lines is much more coordinated and within the whole work, random gradations of the intensity of the pencil appear in some parts, or parts with "faults" that create little gaps.

Instructions:
We start from any point outside the cross. Whenever one of the performers reaches cross margins, he/she has to make a long high frequency and then all the others have to go straight to the cross area and start to perform the "groups inside the cross". Performers come out of the cross with free will and they get back into it whenever someone reaches the margins again.
